Jezza Roddy's profile picture.

Jezza Roddy (real name Jeremy Rodriguez) is a metal/rock orchestral video game composer located with his wife in her home prefecture in the Kansai area of Japan. His current project is Godgear Ragdrahod, developed by SquireGrookTook. Under the guidance of Steven Melin (Aethermancer) and Penka Kouneva (Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands), the composer is continually developing his musicality. He placed runner-up in itch.io’s Reimagining VGM 1 composing jam with his emotive rescore of Xion’s Death Scene from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. If you are looking for skull-crushing drum beats fused with the beauty of soaring orchestral melodies, then Jezza’s tracks are sure to satisfy your musical thirst.

Custom Music from Jezza Roddy - How the Process Works

  • Below are amongst the things we will discuss upon our first meeting.

    Your Project’s Vision

    • Backstory of game

    • Influences (games, OSTs, etc.)

    • Total amount of music (minutes and number of tracks)

    • Music assets (theme, level loops, cinematics or cut scenes),

    • Utility-stingers (level win, level loss, death stinger, spawn, transitions),

    • Beds (ambience)

    Important Dates

    • Overall project deadline

    • Check-in dates

    • Demo release date

Of course, any other necessary details will be included in our conversation before we come to a final agreement.

The writing process is fairly simple but very interactive. Each track will begin with a short sketch that will be sent to you in order to verify musical direction. After that, a full rough mix will be created and sent by the agreed upon check-in date. Lastly, a final mix will be delivered with any adjustments if they are needed.

  • Pricing is generally based on a “per-minute” rate. However, if you are in need of multiple tracks or a full OST, package deals are also a valid option.
